About me
Alara Afife Ünlü graduated in 2021 from one of the top universities in Turkey, Sabancı University, Department of Psychology, completing her undergraduate education. Following her bachelor’s degree, she completed theoretical and practical part of her journey to obtain her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from İstanbul Rumeli University in 2022 and is currently working on her thesis. Her thesis topic is Mediating Factor of Self-Consciousness in the Relation Between Personality Factors and Psychopathology.
She completed her internship at Moodist Psychiatry and Neurology Hospital where she had a chance to observe many different psychiatric and psychological disorders such as Schizophrenia, OCD, Depression, Bipolar disorder. She also had a chance to help psychologists conduct therapy for foreign patients. After her internship at Moodist Hospital she started her internship at Masterson Institute,Turkey where she had a chance to learn about Personality Disorders and Masterson Approach.
Since 2022, she has been professionally working in the field of individual/adult counselling. She focuses on Clinical Applications of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies, Schema Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy specifically in areas such as Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Major Depression, Personality Disorders, Grief and Psychological Crisis.She has been under supervision by psychiatrists and clinical psychologists while completing her training in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy and Schema Therapy practice and completed her practice with success. To enhance her expertise in her practice she has completed the theoretical and practical training module also in Masterson Approach for Personality Disorders which is and is still under supervision by the Director of Masterson Institute of Turkey.
